Who can participate? Adults (ages 18 - 75) who have moderate or severe eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis.
What is the purpose of the study? Like many skin conditions, eczema can be both difficult to control, and can also take a toll on self-esteem, causing sufferers to feel embarrassed or self-conscious. Although there are many medications available, they do not work for everyone and can sometimes cause unwanted side effects. This is why doctors and researchers are working to develop new medications that may better treat eczema in the future. In this study, doctors are evaluating an investigational oral medication, taken once daily for 16 weeks.
How long does the study last? The study lasts about 6 - 7 months. During this time, you will visit your local study doctor’s center up to 10 times, usually 2 - 4 weeks apart. These visits allow your doctor to closely monitor your progress, as well as discuss your overall experiences.
Where? The study is being offered at up to 60 locations throughout the United States. Please take the pre-screening questionnaire below to find a study location in your area.
Is there any cost to me? No, if you qualify and you choose to join the study, you will receive all study-related care at no cost (insurance is not required). You may also be compensated for your time and travel to attend study visits.
